The OAK & IVY Bed and Breakfast is a 20 room 1871 Victorian Italianate home located in the heart of historic Rome, New York. Furnished with English, French and American antiques, and surrounded by lush English-style perennial gardens, the house offers a very distinctive English atmosphere quite unique in Central New York.
Only 10 minutes from the Westmorland exit [#32] off the New York Thruway, The OAK & IVY is conveniently located for touring "The LEATHER STOCKING" region and many of the attractions and events the area has to offer, including the reconstructed 18th century Fort Stanwix [ 1/4 mile], The south Adirondacks [25 miles], the Erie Canalway Trail, and the towns of Utica, Oneida, New Hartford, and Clinton. Hamilton College is 12 miles away.
The OAK & IVY offers 3 well appointed guest rooms; two with en suite bathrooms and one with a private bathroom just across the hall. All accommodations include a full breakfast, free wireless internet connection, 24 hour coffee and tea, and use of all the public rooms, the massive front porch, and the gardens. A welcoming tea featuring our famous scones, is also available for afternoon check ins.
